Polaris Pro Grappling invades the United Kingdom to bring Polaris 12 from Wales on Saturday, November 30th. The main event will have breakout star Nick Rodriguez take on former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold. This will be Rodriguez’s third time on Polaris’ mats as he has won twice previously with the promotion. Rockhold will be making his Polaris debut.
With only a few years of jiujitsu under his belt, Rodriguez has shown he has elite level grappling especially when he won silver at ADCC earlier this year. It will be interesting to see how this match plays out as Rodriguez typically likes to bully his opponents with his wrestling. But people tend to forget that Rockhold has elite grappling skills as he is a former no-gi world champion as a purple belt and he has earned six submission victories in his MMA career. Either way, jiujitsu fans will be excited to see these two heavyweights face off against each other.
Other notable matches include Gilbert “Durinho” Burns taking on Tommy Langaker in a gi and PJ Barch will match up against Marcin Held.
