The long-awaited bout between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson is on. After four unsuccessful matchups, canceled due to various reasons, the two fantastic fighters are going to clash on April 18th, 2020.

Khabib and Ferguson are considered to be the best pound-for-pound guys in the UFC, and their battle will be the biggest spectacle in the past few years. It is expected to generate a nine-figure income only from the pay-per-view, and who knows how much more through other aspects of revenue.

Of course, all the eyes are on Nurmagomedov, who is the undisputed ruler of the lightweight division with 28 wins without a single loss. According to many, the Russian Eagle is by far the most dominant fighter in UFC history. But also, many believe that if there is a guy who can defeat him, it is Ferguson (25-3)

Currently, the odds are favoring the champ whose win is priced at 1/2. On the other side, Ferguson’s success is at 15/8. When compared to the potential fight with Conor McGregor, we can see that the American fighter is given higher chances for dethroning the Russian Eagle, than the Irishman. The Notorious to win is at 3/1, while Khabib’s win in that potential match is at 1/4. So, after these numbers, we can accept the fact that Ferguson is really the toughest opponent for the champ up until this point in his career.

There are plenty of betting agencies to consider before placing any bets in this case, so be thorough while choosing one, as they have differences in odds offered.

If everything goes as planned, and Khabib defeats Ferguson, the latest statements Dana White issued are suggesting that we might see his rematch against McGregor sooner than expected. Despite the Russian’s constant denial about giving a chance to Notorious, the UFC might bring some unreal offer on the table which would be hard to say no to.

Over the recent few months, while he was still in retirement, Conor was lobbying for another clash between two of the arguably biggest names in the organization. Nurmagomedov was always saying that McGregor needs to win a few fights first and come back after that. However, the call of the money in this one is too strong for all sides.

When it comes to his wishes for the opponent, Khabib has just one name – Georges St-Pierre. It is something he dreams of happening, although GSP is in retirement. The undefeated champ told this a couple of months ago, stressing out that he has enormous respect towards the Canadian, and that it would present him the honor to share the octagon with such great legend, which St-Pierre truly is.

Immediately after the bookies heard this, they’ve come up with the odds for that bout. Of course, the younger and active Khabib Nurmagomedov would be a massive favorite, 1/4, while on the other side, the former champ’s win was at 3/1. But over these two or three months, the situation altered a little bit, and the odds are not the same. Khabib’s win is now 3/10, and GSP’s 13/5, and it is interesting how will they develope if the Canadian agrees to come back from the retirement.
