The UFC puts on their final card of 2020 with a welterweight main event as MMASucka provides UFC Fight Night 183 results all night. Originally, the main event was scheduled to be a welterweight fight between Leon Edwards and Khamzat Chimaev. However, Edwards ended up testing positive for COVID-19, forcing him out of the fight. That forced the co-main event to be bumped up to the main event spot.

Also a welterweight bout, former title challenger Stephen Thompson faces off against rising contender Geoff Neal. For each fighter, this will be their first appearance in 2020. Thompson’s last fight took place at UFC 244 when he defeated Vicente Luque by unanimous decision. On a night that crowned the “baddest m—er f—er”, that win unofficially crowned Thompson as the “nicest m—er f—er”. As for Neal, his last fight took place at UFC 245 where he finished Mike Perry by first round TKO for his seventh straight win. Neal looks to pick up his biggest win yet as he takes on the former two-time title challenger.

In the co-main event, Jose Aldo returns to the cage for the first time since his vacant title fight loss to Petr Yan over the summer. Staying at 135 pounds, Aldo will be facing off against Marlon Vera. Aldo looks to snap a three fight win streak in this fight as he also holds previous losses to Marlon Moraes and Alexander Volkanovski. As for Vera, he holds a 4-1 record in his last five outings. The one loss came in a close fight against Song Yadong as he lost by unanimous decision. As for the four wins, all of them were finishes, three TKOs and one submission. In his most recent outing, he finished Contender Series standout and rising star Sean O’Malley by first round TKO. He looks to pick up the biggest win of his career against the former featherweight champion.

Kicking off the main card will be a heavyweight fight between Marcin Tybura and Greg Hardy. Tybura looks to win his fourth straight while Hardy looks for his third straight win. Following that fight will be a bantamweight fight between Marlon Moraes and Rob Font. Moraes is looking to rebound from a recent loss while Font looks for his third straight win to climb into the top ten at 135. Finally, before the co-main event will be a welterweight bout between two entertaining finishers Michel Pereira and Khaos Williams. Pereira is coming off a submission win while Williams pulled off a huge knockout win over Abdul Razak Alhassan in his last fight.
