BKFC 16 Event Preview

Once again, it’s time to toe the line and knuckle up. BKFC 16 airs Friday on the Bare Knuckle App and it should be a fantastic night of action. In the main event, Leonard Garcia will be taking on Joe Elmore. Garcia is known for his wild MMA scraps and Elmore is becoming one of the bigger stars on the bare-knuckle scene.

In the co-main event, DeMarcus Corleywill be making his BKFC debut and taking on the vastly talented Reggie Barnett Jr. Corely is a professional boxer, and “Chop Chop” is known as a longtime veteran of the ring. Reggie Barnett Jr. is 5-1 in BKFC with his lone defeat coming at the hands of Jonny Bedford. This should be an amazing fight that is not to be missed.

BKFC 16 Event Preview Lineup

Leonard Garcia vs. Joe Elmore

Preview: This is going to be a tremendous fight. Leonard Garcia is known for having dramatic brawls and Joe Elmore doesn’t know how to move backward. This is going to be a great back and forth fight and the winner will move up in the rankings. Joe Elmore is on the verge of becoming a star and beating Garcia will go a long way to him achieving that goal.

Prediction: Joe Elmore wins via TKO.

DeMarcus Corley vs. Reggie Barnett Jr.

Preview: DeMarcus Corley is transitioning from boxing to bare-knuckle boxing. He has a ton of experience boxing and should make a slick transition into the world of BKFC. That said, he’s facing a stiff debut in the form of Reggie Barnett Jr. Barnett is 5-1 in BKFC and could earn a title shot with a victory.

Prediction: Reggie Barnett Jr. is a tremendous fighter and he should win this fight by decision.

Arnold Adams vs. Bobo O’Bannon

Preview: Arnold Adams is a former BKFC champion, and he’ll be in the ring with a fighter who is 2-1 in BKFC and beat Mike Kyle when Kyle made his debut. This should be a fun fight and the winner could make some waves in the heavyweight division.

Prediction: This is going to be a fun fight, both fighters have good experience and talent. When push comes to shove Arnold Adams is the likely winner here. It’s going to be good.

Tyler Hill vs. Zion Tomlinson

Preview: Zion Tomlinson is a good fighter who won his BKFC debut at Toe the Line 2, needing only one minute to dispatch his opponent Harrison Aiken via TKO.  Tyler Hill has experience in MMA and had a classic battle with Socrates Pierre at Island Fights. This could be a candidate for Fight of the Night.

Prediction: This should be a heck of a fight and when it’s all said and done, expect Zion Tomlinson to walk away with his hands in the air.

Brad Kelly vs. Elvin Brito

Preview: Elvin Brito is 2-2 in BKFC and he’s faced nothing but the top tier talent. He defeated Harris Stephensen, and Kaleb Harris and has lost bouts to Jim Alers and Luis Palomino. Brad Kelly won his BKFC debut against Kaine Tomlinson and will be looking to make it 2-0 against Brito. It should be a solid, technical fight.

Prediction: Eivin Brito is the more technical striker and you can expect him to win this fight via Unanimous Decision.

Melvin Guillard vs. Scott O’Shaughnessy

Preview: Melvin Guillard has been around forever and has fought every style and every weight class available. He hasn’t won a fight at any level in nearly seven years, but still has the name recognition and continues to get fights. O’Shaughnessy has lost three of four fights and will be making his BKFC debut Friday.

Prediction: This bout features two fighters are not tremendously good at winning fights. In the end, you’d expect Melvin Guillard to be a favorite here based on experience. I am guessing Guillard wins via TKO.

Adrian Miles vs. Jason Fish

Preview: Jason Fish made his BKFC debut at Toe the Line 2 and was victorious, stopping Michael Bissett in the second round. Adrian Miles Adrian Miles is 0-2 in BKFC and will be looking to earn his first victory inside the ropes. In his last outing, he was defeated by Lewis Rumsey and previously lost to Wes Combs.

Prediction: Jason Fish packs some serious power in both hands, and looks like a clear favorite to defeat Miles here. Expect a good fight early, but Jason Fish will likely earn the TKO here.

Kaleb Harris vs. Noah Cutter

Preview: Harris is 2-3 inside the BKFC ring and has dropped two in a row. In his last fight, he was beaten by Elvin Brito via Split Decision. Prior to that, he was defeated by Jim Alers. Noah Cutter is 1-1 in BKFC but lost his last fight at the hands of Francesco Ricchi.

Prediction: Kaleb Harris is a solid fighter and has the right style and skillset to do well in BKFC. Despite Noah Cutter being a talented fighter, Kaleb Harris is the better of the two and will more than likely earn a victory via TKO.
