On Friday, March 19, ONE Championship concluded their “Fists Of Fury” event series with ONE: Fists Of Fury III, a previously recorded event from the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Below you will find our ONE: Fists of Fury III recap.

ONE: Fists of Fury III Recap

With two ONE Super Series bouts, including the ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Championship main event, and four mixed martial arts contests, they ended it in style.

“The Immortal” Regian Eersel showed why he is the best lightweight kickboxer on the planet with a crisp and clean performance against a very game Mustapha “Dynamite” Haida. The champion retained his gold by unanimous decision and exited the Circle as confident as ever.

In the co-main event, Janet “JT” Todd turned up the heat on Alma Juniku and the Aussie couldn’t hang in the latter two rounds. After an even first round, Todd came out and landed power shots in the second. She dropped Juniku to take a commanding lead and continued landing hard shots in the third frame to take a clear-cut decision.

In mixed martial arts action, it was an evening of fresh faces staking their claim in their respective divisions.

Hu Yong opened the evening with a dominant decision win over the streaking Yodkiakaew Fairtex. Hu showed himself very well and made an impact right away in a stacked flyweight division.

In the following contest, Roshan Mainam kept his submission streak going with a first-round rear-naked choke. Aziz Calim couldn’t stay standing, and Mainam controlled the action on the mat. The Indian grappler was strong from the top position and tightened his squeeze as soon as he got the choke for an immediate tap.

Jenelyn Olsim met #5-ranked strawweight contender Maira Mazar and shined under the bright lights. Olsim’s striking was on-point and she was able to stay out of danger on the ground. In the third round, Olsim caught Mazar off-guard with a CHOKE while against the Circle Wall.

Mazar had no choice but to tap, and the Filipina secured a stunning submission win over the grappling ace.

In the final mixed martial arts bout, Hiroba Minowa edged out former ONE Strawweight World Champion Alex “Little Rock” Silva after three close rounds to take a split decision. The young gun showed his prowess on the canvas by staying with Silva and also found more offense with his strikes to take the contest.

After the final bell rang, the “Fists Of Fury” series came to a close. Now, ONE turns its attention to making its primetime debut in the United States on TNT in April.

That was our ONE: Fists of Fury III recap.
