LFA returns for the third consecutive week with LFA 103, live from the Grand Event Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma. The event is headlined by a featherweight bout between UFC veteran Spike Carlyle and Black House MMA product Batsumberel Dagvadorj. “Alpha Ginger” Carlyle is returning to regional MMA after a three-fight stint in the UFC, where he dropped two straight after winning his UFC debut. Across from him will be “The Mongolian Falcon” Dagvadorj, who is coming off of his first professional loss in the main event at LFA 96 in December. Expect this fight to be a barnburner between two exciting, action-packed fighters.
The co-main event will be in the women’s strawweight division, as Dana White Contender Series alum Vanessa Demopoulos takes on karate standout Cynthia Arceo. “Lil Monster” Demopoulos came up short in her Contender Series opportunity to Cory McKenna last August, and followed that up by losing her LFA strawweight title to Lupita Godinez at LFA 94 in October.
She will look to right the ship against “Sin” Arceo, who has not fought since her November 2019 loss to Mallory Martin in Invicta FC. She has only won one of her last four outings, and will also be looking to get back on track in this intriguing matchup. Fight fans will have to wait and see if a win at LFA 103 results in an LFA strawweight title shot.
