Jake Paul Parts with Triller, Signs with Showtime Sports

The 24-year-old has become one of the most controversial social media stars and has turned that into a very marketable boxing career. The brash sense of humor along with serious skill inside the ring has turned him the most talked-about boxer today.

At 3-0 as a professional boxer, Paul has parted ways with the Triller Fight Club banner. and signed a multi-fight deal with Showtime Sports. Marc Raimondi announced the signing on ESPN.

“Jake is proud of the events he participated in with Triller and appreciates the opportunities they afforded him,” adviser Nakisa Bidarian confirmed to ESPN. “Jake is excited to continue his boxing career with Showtime Boxing. Fight announcement coming soon.”

In his most recent outing, Paul knocked out former UFC welterweight Ben Askren in the very first round on their Triller Fight Club PPV last month.

“We love Jake,” Proxima Media CEO Kavanaugh told ESPN. “I wish Jake the absolute best. We had our two fights with him. … I think for us, we’ve gone the distance with him that we can go. We won’t be doing any more Jake fights.”

The controversy of Paul continued earlier this month, as he got into a verbal confrontation with Floyd Mayweather and even stole his hat. This lead to Mayweather and his security team getting physical with Paul. This all played out at the pre-fight press conference for a bout between Jake’s brother Logan and Mayweather in June. Jake Paul was able to capitalize on this by selling “Gotcha Hat” merchandise on his website.

According to Showtime Boxing, a fight announcement will be coming soon.
