ONE Championship’s newly minted heavyweight king made several callouts after winning the gold, and they haven’t stopped since.

Arjan Bhullar Pro Wrestling Callouts

ONE Heavyweight World Champion “Singh” Arjan Bhullar knocked off Brandon “The Truth” Vera earlier this year to become the division’s new leader. In the post-match speech, the talented grappler called out those in his division and the stars of the professional wrestling world.

Arjan Bhullar has continued to make those calls this week against the stars of both All Elite Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment.

But his callouts have not been just to those within the wrestling community. His callouts this week have been to two notable athletes who have competed in mixed martial arts — Jake Hager and Bobby Lashley.

First on his list was Hager.

The former Oklahoma wrestler has been at the top of the professional wrestling world and has had successful outings for Bellator. Recently, he has been a part of the “Inner Circle” group on AEW television. On the last episode of their program called Dynamite, Hager won a mixed martial arts rules match against a performer called Wardlow.

Bhullar responded to offer Hager a bigger challenge saying, “Winner gets the mace of Hanuman and the right to be called the God Of Wrestling.”

But he wasn’t done there. Lashley, currently the WWE Champion, defended his gold against Drew McIntyre, and Bhullar was right there to issue his challenge, including putting his ONE Heavyweight World Championship on the line.

The callouts are intriguing. Who wouldn’t want to see Bhullar vs. Lashley with the gold on the line?

Bhullar’s fandom of professional wrestling is also intriguing in what it could bring to his reign atop the ONE heavyweight division. In addition, it will help add fuel to his personality as he can utilize his time on the mic to call for more bouts, generate fun interviews, and draw more interest to the sport.

His credentials speak loudly to his ability in the sport. He is a Commonwealth Games gold medalist and Olympic team member for Canada who has had amazing success that has led to his ONE title reign. Now he is able to showcase his personality on a bigger stage and explore opportunities to help grow his profile and ONE’s as well.

The Canadian-Indian star will be a pivotal figure for the growth of the sport in India, which has also been a focus for growth in professional wrestling. Being at the forefront of that charge is a shrewd move by Bhullar.

But before those potential showdowns with the stars of wrestling come along, there is a South Korean challenger waiting in the wings. Bhullar’s callout of Kang Ji Won, who had a shocking upset knockout against Amir Aliakbari, could set up his first title defense.

The world appears to be “Singh’s” oyster, and he is not afraid to search for the pearls. He is a breath of fresh air, and as he continues to call his shots, eventually, one will go in. The ONE Heavyweight World Champion is doing his part to elevate himself and the sport.
