UFC middleweight Krzysztof Jotko will welcome Misha Cirkunov to the 185-pound division on October 2 at UFC Vegas 38.
Krzysztof Jotko Worried Misha Cirkunov Won’t Make 185-pounds
Prior to the fight, Jotko caught up with James Lynch for MMASucka.com and spoke about a number of topics.
On Cirkunov Making 185
“I still don’t believe it until I see it. He is a big, huge, huge man and I don’t know how he will feel because in his last fight you could see that his jaw was a little bit weak. A lot of people have knocked him out with that one punch and now when he cuts the weight, if he cuts the weight, I want to see.
In my opinion, I don’t think he can make 185, but he signed the contract so lets do it.”
What he knows about Cirkunov
“He looks a little similar like Eryk Anders. He’s southpaw, he’s the same big guy who dropped from 205 to 185, so I look at him like someone like Eryk Anders with very good jiu-jitsu.”
How Krzysztof Jotko Sees The Fight Playing Out
“I want to start very aggressive, but very patient with the kicks especially because I know he wants to take me down. He probably wants to do something fast like he did with Jimmy Crute, like go straight for the takedown. So I will be ready for this.”
Would he like to fight again in 2021?
“If everything is good and I’m healed after this fight, then I would love to fight one more time this year, but we will see what the UFC decides.”
