Combate Global 22 Results

Combate Global returns for its weekly showing of international combat tonight in Miami, Florida at Univision Studios. As always, MMA Sucka will bring you live results of the entire Combate Global 22 card right here.

In the card’s headliner, Bellator veteran Ivan Castillo (20-13) takes on South Florida’s own Marcos Lloreda (10-6). This is a bout between two welterweights both coming off three straight wins, in which title contention is on the line. Castillo is a warrior that seems to always bring action and has been in the cage with the likes of Daniel Rodriguez, Gabe Green, and Rodrigo Vargas. The Mexican finisher has been a professional since 2011 and does his training at AVT Blackxicans in his home country. Lloreda has been on quite the hot streak as of mid-2019, winning five of his last six. Training out of Freedom Fighters in Miami, Florida, the Spaniard looks for his third win in 2021 this weekend. Lloreda has half of his pro wins by way of finish, however, his last five bouts have been decided by decision, including a tough bout with John Gotti III at CES 60.

Also on the card, a welterweight war between the undefeated Trey Waters (3-0) and BKFC veteran Heriberto Tovar (7-5-1). Training out of Elevate MMA in his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, Waters is a force to be reckoned with at 170lbs. The 26-year-old is a pleasure to watch scrap every time he has the opportunity to and always seeks a finish. In his 13 pro and amateur bouts, he has never been to the judge’s scorecards. The 6’5 Combate Global debutant will have his hands full with the veteran Mexican striker, Heriberto Tovar. This will be Tovar’s first MMA fight in over four years however, he’s shared the BKFC ring with Joe Riggs in 2019 and took part in a Muay Thai bout earlier this year. Although the Combate veteran is on a two-fight skid, he is never in a boring fight and has all seven of his pro MMA wins by way of knockout.

Some other notable names on the card include Invicta and Bellator veteran, Kaytlin Neil (4-4), and fellow Bellator veterans, Marcus Gamble (3-1) and Giovanni Sarran (6-4).
