It was a beautiful performance by Rico Verhoeven on Saturday evening at Glory: Collision 3. However, his opponent Jamal Ben Saddik did some serious damage to his face in the process. All of this came at a price — he was no longer recognized by his phone’s facial recognition.

Verhoeven even joked about the cell phone incident himself via his official Instagram page.

This victory for Verhoeven ends a trilogy with Saddik. He truly is like his nickname states, the ‘King of Kickboxing.’

Verhoeven (59-10) withstood some adversity through the first two rounds, but showed composure and was able to adjust in round three. Ben Saddik looked to be out on his feet at one point and ultimately the referee counted Ben Saddik out at 54-seconds of the fourth round.
