CES 65 will take place this Sunday, November 7th at the Providence Career and Technical Academy in Providence Rhode Island beginning at 4:00pm ET/1:00pm PT. Yorgan De Castro‘s first fight after being released by the UFC is going to be the main event as he will take on CES mainstay, Danyelle Williams. The co-main event will be Andre Harrison taking on Mauro Chaulet in the featherweight bout. The rest of the card will feature up-and-comers such as Nathan Ghareeb, John Douma, and Ashiek Ajim.

Main Event

Yorgan De Castro was 4-0 before getting his shot on Dana White’s Contender Series. He finished Alton Meeks in his fight on the contender series in the first round to earn himself a UFC contract. He then went on to beat Justin Tafa in his UFC debut, but lost three straight before being released. Five of De Castro’s six wins are by knockout. De Castro will be taking on “DDay” Danyelle Williams. Williams has a professional MMA record of 8-6-1. His most recent MMA fight was a knockout loss to Greg Rebello at CES 41 in 2017. He had a professional boxing bout with Jimmy Barnes in 2020, but was also knocked out in that fight. Williams’ last combat victory was a knockout win over Joe Sullivan in 2014.

Co-Main Event

Andre Harrison will be making his return to the cage after his last fight ended in a submission loss to Alex Gilpin at PFL 8 in 2019. Harrison went 5-2-1 in his time with the PFL. He has a professional record of 21-2-1 and has won 16 of those fights by decision. Harrison has never been knocked out in his career and has only been submitted in one of his two losses. He has always been known to be a great wrestler with crisp striking, holding career wins over Peter Petties, Lance Palmer, Steven Siler, Desmond Green, and Kurt Holobaugh.

Harrison will be taking on a relentless finisher in Mauro Chaulet. Chaulet is 1-1 since making his return to MMA after a five-year layoff from 2014-2019. Ten of his fourteen wins are finishes, with five of them being knockouts and five being submissions. Out of his career 21 professional fights, Chaulet has only fought three opponents that had over ten professional fights at the time of the fight. Although he has lacked fighting experienced opponents, he has still fought current UFC featherweight Damon Jackson and UFC lightweight Renato Moicano.

My name is Michael Lynch. I’m originally from Long Island, NY, but I reside in Columbia, Sc. I’ve been covering MMA for almost two years now. I’ve covered events such as Island fights and the PFL. I also have a YouTube channel where I do fight companions and UFC fight previews. I have recently started to train in mma and would like to have my first fight in 2020. I believe that as a journalist I need to experience what these fighters go threw, in order to understand their POV.
