Bellator Announces Bantamweight Grand Prix for 2022
Coker announced it will be an eight-man tournament for Bellator to decide who will be the bantamweight champion at the end of it and also a million dollars richer. While the big checks that Happy Gilmore always liked are nice, it’s the fact that one man will somehow work his way through the deepest division in Bellator that has fight fans drooling.
The field was announced but no seeding has been determined yet as they usually do separate events for that but the eight men competing for the crown are the who’s who of the division.
The obvious two are the men fighting tonight in Sergio Pettis and Kyoji Horiguchi, also named were James Gallagher, former champ Juan Archuleta, former ACB champ Magomed Magomedov, Raufeon Stots, Patchy Mix, and Pitbull trainee Leonardo Higo.
Josh Hill, who won last night with an impressive knockout, has already been named as an alternate.

A who’s who of the division, the champion and top seven ranked fighters will be making up the field but with no start date announced yet all fight fans can do is wait eagerly for it all to shape up.
Scott Coker has done a tremendous job making sure these Grand Prix go off without a hitch and that is to be expected with this one as well.
