ONE X Rescheduled Announcement

ONE Championship’s star-studded event, ONE X, has officially been rescheduled for March 26.

ONE X Rescheduled to March 26

ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced the event’s new date during an appearance on The MMA Hour on Wednesday. Originally intended for December 5, 2021, the event was postponed due to COVID concerns.

Leading the way was the announcement of two title defenses.

Angela Lee will return to action to battle Stamp Fairtex, the winner of the 2021 ONE Atomweight World Grand Prix, to defend her ONE Atomweight World Championship. Lee will return to the Circle for the first time since giving birth to her daughter.

Stamp, a former ONE Atomweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion, is 8-1 in her mixed martial arts career. En route to winning the tournament that gifted her the title shot, Stamp showcased her growing ground game against Alyona Rassohyna, Julie Mezzabarba, and Ritu Phogat.

In the co-main event, ONE Flyweight World Champion Adriano Moraes welcomes Yuya Wakamatsu as his next challenger. Moraes made a statement last April by knocking out Demetrious Johnson in primetime action.

Speaking of “Mighty Mouse,” the American star will also be on the bill with his originally scheduled mixed rules bout against ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

The bout is scheduled for four three-minute rounds, alternating between ONE Super Series Muay Thai rules and mixed martial arts rules.

ONE X is expected to be ONE’s first event with full attendance since the beginning of the COVID-19 global pandemic. If it comes to fruition, expect a raucous crowd for one of the year’s most sensational events.
