At Wednesday’s press conference, Tenshin Nasukawa’s final RISE opponent was announced. At RISE El Dorado 2022 on April 2nd, the Japanese kickboxing superstar will take on his Teppen Gym teammate, Kazane Nagai.
Nasukawa, who is one of the biggest names in the kickboxing world, has an unblemished record of 42 wins, with 30 of those coming by the way of knockout. He has 21 fights in RISE ring to his name and he is the promotion’s Bantamweight, Featherweight, and World Series -58 kg Tournament Champion. As Nasukawa announced that he will switch to boxing in 2022 all attention was focused on his match against K-1 champion Takeru. Now when this dream match was set for June, Nasukawa looks to have his last kickboxing fight against a familiar face.
Kazane has a 16 – 5 professional kickboxing record and he’s 2021 RISE -53kg Dead or Alive Tournament Winner. He moved to Teppen Gym after signing with RISE.
This bout looks like easy work for Nasukawa, who is fighting his teammate what is considered as a warmup fight before going against Takeru in June. However, Tenshin stated that this bout was in plans long before his meeting with Takeru was even announced. Hopefully, Tenshin will not suffer any injury which would cancel the June dream match, that kickboxing fans worldwide are waiting for.
