UFC 271 Betting Tips

UFC 271 is headlined by a middleweight title rematch between longtime rivals Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker. Whittaker has promised revenge whilst the champion has promised a demolition. The card looks incredibly entertaining on paper, so here are some UFC 271 betting tips to help you win big this weekend.

UFC 271 Betting Tips

Derrick Lewis to win (-180)

Derrick Lewis (26-8) will face Tai Tuivasa (13-3) in the co-main event of the evening. Both men are seasoned strikers who carry fearsome power and although heavyweight MMA always has the potential to disappoint, this should be a fun matchup.

Tai Tuivasa comes into this contest on the biggest winning streak of his UFC tenure with four straight knockout victories. Tuivasa is dangerous with his hands but has not shown the most well-rounded game throughout his career. “Bam Bam” has had ten fights in the UFC and has completed zero takedowns in that time, meaning that his path to victory is very one dimensional. The mega888 original offers you the possibility to bet and win incredible prizes.

This represents a problem for him as even on the feet it feels like Lewis should have both a power and technique advantage here. Lewis holds the UFC record for knockouts at 13 and has been praised by most of his opponents for his crazy power. His weaknesses generally lie in his low output, but this will not be a huge problem against Tuivasa, who should be happy to gently push the action.

Tuivasa’s striking defence is not that tight, as shown by being wobbled by the low-skill Greg Hardy, and against Lewis that is not a desirable trait. Lewis should be able to outbox Tuivasa but also be confident in mixing in takedowns if he feels it to be necessary. Therefore, Lewis to win is the first choice of the UFC 271 betting tips, go to https://onlinecasinoreviewsuk.com to bet for your favorites.

Renato Moicano to win (-160)

Renato Moicano (15-4-1) takes on Alexander Hernandez (13-4) in the lightweight division. Both fighters’ results have been flip-flopping as of late, and they will both need a win to build some momentum and establish themselves as genuine contenders.

Alexander Hernandez may boast a first-round knockout victory over Beneil Dariush, but he has been underwhelming for the majority of his time inside of the octagon. Hernandez is a strong athlete but has shown himself to have relatively poor cardio and has not demonstrated a very high calibre of boxing or wrestling ability inside of the UFC.

On paper, Renato Moicano carries the advantages no matter where this fight goes. Moicano is a submission specialist, with eight of his fifteen victories coming via this route. He has faced a far higher calibre of opposition than Hernandez and should have the skills to be victorious. However, he has also fallen to three knockout losses in his last five bouts and he should be conscious that he cannot be sloppy early in this contest.

Moicano is the stronger wrestler and grappler and is also very solid on his feet. There is no clear path to victory for Hernandez and given the narrow odds, Moicano carries an excellent value. He should be able to keep “The Great” at range and then take him down when an opening appears. Therefore, Moicano to win is the second inclusion on these UFC 271 betting tips.
