The Strabanimal Returns to Dublin against The Pikey
James Gallagher will be looking to get back into the win column after a disappointing loss at the hands of Patchy Mix last November. Mix was able to submit Gallagher in the third round via guillotine choke. Prior to this, the brash Irishman had enjoyed a four-fight winning run, including three first-round submissions. Much of his success can be attributed to moving to America to train under the guidance of James Kraus. Gallagher still has John Kavanagh in his corner for his fights, however.
Most recently, John’s picked up his first promotional victory when he finished Khurshed Kakhorov via ground and pound in the third round, removing him from the ranks of the undefeated. Johns is widely regarded as a submission specialist, with a third of his victories coming via submission. He previously went 5-2 in the UFC, only losing to current UFC champion, Aljamain Sterling and top contender, Pedro Munhoz.

Elsewhere on the scheduled Dublin card, former UFC title contender, Yoel Romero will face Melvin Manhoef following his impressive victory last weekend. Also, Benson Henderson will clash with hometown favourite, Peter Queally at lightweight. Sinead Kavanagh is also expected to feature on the card.
