JCK’s fifth consecutive week of fights goes down today on the tropical island of Hainan, and one of China’s best prospects makes an appearance in the main event. Nine fights go down on the tropical island of Hainan, featuring the flyweight winner of the 2021 season, Yin Shuai. Stay tuned for live JCK 2022 Fight Night 5 results.
Main Event- Going for a Second Million
Yin Shuai (13-3) impressed in the 2021 season of JCK when he won five straight fights and a million Yuan in a championship-clinching performance. In the final two fights, he outstruck powerful Chinese veterans Nigedan and Buhouyouga. The Sanda striker is accurate and lighting fast, and fighters in the 2022 will have a hard time keeping up with his pace on the feet.
His opponent, Li Peng (6-7), may not have the flashiest record, but almost all of his losses are to top-shelf competition. All of his wins come by finish, primarily in the first round. He’ll be a tough opponent for Shuai especially if the fight goes to the mat.
This is the first fight of the “JCK Super Round”, a separate group of elite fighters that compete round-robin style rather than the traditional tournament.
Rest of the Card- Ze Wang looks for Fourth Straight Sub
The rest of JCK’s June 4th card a lot of up and comers from China are still early in their MMA careers. Some highlights include Ayiding Tuohetaerbieke, a 3-0 flyweight who holds a win over Tibetan smasher Zelangzhaxi, against Zhou Qiyang. Also on today’s card is Ze Wang, a bantamweight out of Chengdu’s Enbo Gedou gym who’s riding three straight submission wins.
