After a couple of weeks away, Combate Global is back in their home studios in Miami, Florida tonight with Combate Global 41, complete with a new rankings system.

LFA and CFFC veteran Devante Sewell competes in the night’s featherweight main event opposite undefeated 23 year old Ramiro Jimenez. Nicknamed “The Grinder”, Georgia’s Sewell lives up to his nickname, with all of his finishes coming by submission. He is trying to get back on track, however, currently riding a two-fight losing streak and losing five of his last seven. Goat Shed product “El Cachanilla” Jimenez returns to “La Jaula” for the first time in over a year, having last competed in May 2021. Four of his five pro wins have not left the first round, and six of his seven total wins have not seen the judges’ scorecards.

Undefeated American prospect Melissa Amaya returns on short notice in the co-main event to face “Miss Pitbull” Naomi Tataroglu in a 120-pound catchweight contest. After two first-round finishes to start her career, the Sikjitsu-trained Amaya picked up a dominant decision win over Yessica Ortega at Combate Global 31 in March. Tataroglu, meanwhile, looked very impressive in her promotional debut against Alejandra Orozco at Combate Global 36, beating her opponent down until the referee stopped the fight in the third round.

The main card is rounded out by former Titan FC title challenger Andrew Whitney taking on Carlos Briseno. Whitney has lost his last four and six of his last eight, while Briseno will look to rebound from an opening round defeat in last December’s Copa Combate.

MMA Sucka has fight fans covered with Combate Global 41 results, happening live on Paramount+ and Univision beginning with the preliminary card at 11pm ET/8pm PT, immediately followed by the main card.
