Prior to his MMA debut, Arkadiusz Wrzosek will train at world renowed Hemmers Gym in Breda, Netherlands. The Polish fighter is scheduled to meet fellow kickboxer Tomasz Sarara in the main event of the upcoming KSW 73 event, which will take place on August 20th at Torwar Arena in Warsaw.

The news was broken by Uniq Fight Club, one of the gyms where the polish kickboxers train regularly. He’s scheduled to spend three weeks in the Netherlands to prepare for his debut MMA fight which will headline KSW 73 in August. It’s not his first visit to Hemmers Gym, as he previously prepared there for his kickboxing fights in the past and trained alongside Alistair Overeem

Wrzosek has a 14 – 5 – 1 kickboxing record and is the reigning FEN K – 1 Heavyweight champion. Despite being under contract with the promotion he was allowed to jump to KSW in order to pursue an MMA career. However, he’s still obligated to defend his K-1 belt. His biggest claim to fame was a highlight reel comeback KO win over Badr Hari at GLORY 78.

The two of them met in a rematch at GLORY 80, but the fight and the entire event were halted due to a riot between Polish and Moroccan fans in the stands. Despite the bout reaching the end of the second round, which according to rules called for a judges’ decision, the fight was declared as a draw, and Wrzosek was released by the promotion.

Sarara followed a similar path as prior to switching to MMA he was an acclaimed kickboxer. A multi-time national champion under various rulesets he grabbed the FEN K-1 under 95 kg title and DSF Kickboxing +91 kg championship. He has a 41 – 7 kickboxing record and was enjoying an impressive 21-fight winning streak. He made his MMA debut at KSW 62 where he defeated Filip Bradaric by TKO in the third round.

Now the two kickboxers will duke it out in the KSW’s circular cage at Torwar Arena, which is just across the street from Legia Football Club’s stadium. The same, where they had their first face-off prior to a football match.
