Olympic wrestling bronze medalist Damian Janikowski who has a 7-4 professional MMA record will face another very difficult challenge at KSW 74 in Ostrów Wielkopolski. Janikowski’s opponent will be an experienced Brit, who likes to end his fights ahead of time – Tom Breese, who sports a 14-3 record. The event will take place on September 10 in Arena Ostrów.

Breese is a more experienced MMA fighter than Janikowski. He not only has six more fights on the record but has also fought for such promotions as BAMMA, Cage Warriors, and the UFC. He spend six years fighting for the world’s biggest MMA promotion, where he stacked a 5-3 record. Since leaving the organisation, he has gone 2-0, both of which have come via finish. Breese has won fourteen times throughout his career, of which only one fight ended with the judges’ decision. The Englishman has finished eight fights in the first round and recently won and defended the championship belt of the Dutch organization Levels Fight League. Now the time has come for him to make a KSW debut.

Janikowski will return to the KSW’s cage after a spectacular win at KSW 68, where he knocked out Tomasz Jakubiec in the very first round of the fight. The former Olympic medalist in wrestling was awarded a double bonus for this victory – for the knockout and fight of the evening. It was Janikowski’s second bonus and his second fight of the night bonus.
The Olympian has seven wins, six of which he won inside the distance. He holds wins over longtime Polish MMA veteran Antoni Chmielewski and another Englishman, Jason Radcliffe. However he lost to former KSW champion Michał Materla and fellow Olympian, Szymon Kołecki.
