KSI’s boxing promotion ‘Misfits Boxing’ or ‘MF Boxing’ has made an announcement of a second event following the positive reception of the first on August 27th. While KSI himself will not be fighting the card will be headlined by Hasim Rahman Junior who was booked to fight Jake Paul earlier this month before the event fell through. Rahman will be fighting MMA legend Vitor Belfort on October 15th. The co-main event will be a bout between English YouTuber and one half of the famous TGF duo Jay Swingler and American comedy YouTuber Cherdleys. Swingler has also fought on the undercard of KSI’s first fight against Logan Paul back in August of 2018 and has a loyal fanbase who have been anticipating his return to the ring for some time now. As with the KSI vs Swarmz event, Misfits will again be partnering with DAZN who will broadcast the card.

What is interesting to note is that KSI and Misfits Boxing seem determined to become an established Boxing promotion as this second event was announced so soon after the first and had clearly been in the works for some time. A quick look at the Twitter accounts of KSI and several peers who are content creators shows that there is another event planned in the works for January where it appears Logan Paul and Dillion Danis have already made a verbal agreement to fight one another. If the organization continues to create successful events that engage fans and sign a variety of fighters to their roster, legitimate fighters such as Rahman and Belfort as well as the YouTubers and social media stars of the world the promotion has the potential to be something that we have never seen before in the world of combat sports and has the potential to become a very present figure and organization in the world of boxing and fighting as a whole. The unique blend of popular social media figures, as well as actually trained fighters, will draw in fans from both a non-boxing demographic as well as the traditional fight fan. It could also offer opportunities for up-and-coming fighters in the future to expand their brand and name even further by engaging, interacting and fighting on the same card with these stars with a massive online presence and millions of fans across the world.
