Jorge Masvidal’s iKON FC 5 takes place tonight with seven fights at the Savannah Convention Center in Savannah, Georgia. The promotion’s second-consecutive Savannah event will be headlined by a lightweight fight between “The Black Dragon” Solomon Renfro (9-3) and “The Puerto Rican Powerhouse” Michael Irizarry (12-4).
Fight fans can stream the seven-fight main card of iKON FC 5 on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
Main Event: Solomon Renfro vs. Michael Irizarry
A familiar face on the regional scene, Renfro made his pro debut in 2017 and went a perfect 6-0 over his first three years in the sport. He worked his way up to an appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2021, dropping a tightly contested and perhaps controversial split decision to Syndicate MMA Muay Thai coach Jonny Parsons. “The Black Dragon” has since gone 1-1, most recently scoring a unanimous decision victory over James Cannon this past May.
Renfro may have fewer fights than his opponent, Irizarry, but he has significantly more cage time as 12 of Irizarry’s 17 fights have finished inside the distance. “The Puerto Rican Powerhouse” is very much a kill-or-be-killed fighter whereas Renfro holds a 6-1 record when fights reach the judges’ scorecards. Irizarry will still carry a ton of danger in his hands, however. While he was handed a first-round knockout at the hands of rising UFC lightweight Terrance McKinney at LFA 109, he finished his prior two fights with a first and second-round rear naked choke. If Renfro can weather the storm, however, he stands a good chance of getting his hand raised.

Rest of the Card
Friday’s co-main event will feature a bantamweight scrap between American Abdul Kamara (4-1) and Spain’s Jose Torres (4-0). Both fighters are big for the division, standing at least 5-feet-9 inches tall apiece. Both combatants have also fought at 145 pounds in the past and are both well-rounded mixed martial artists with a pension for finishing the fight. “Scratch” Kamara trains at the MMA Lab in Glendale, Arizona, and has won by submission in three of his four victories. Torres, meanwhile, has both knockouts and submissions on his record and cashed as a 2:1 underdog against Giorgi Esiava at EFM Show 1: Różański vs. Pasternak last year.
Elsewhere, unbeaten Malcolm Wellmaker will look to keep his perfect record intact against 1-3 Christopher Wingate. Also, American Top Team’s Titan FC veteran Sal Guerreiro will collide with Bekhzod Usmonov at 135 pounds and former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football player Torrez Finney will face the toughest test of his young career against fellow American middleweight Ivan Batinich. Former amateur world champion and PFL Challenger Series competitor Michelle Montague is also set to make her iKON FC debut against Danielle Wynn, who made her MMA debut at iKON 2 against Bella Mir. Additionally, 1-0 Mike Bardsley will welcome short-notice opponent Brandon Altomore to the professional ranks.
The official bout order outside the main event and co-main event are to be determined.
