Last night, fight fans were dazzled with another impressive performance by flyweight Kai Kara-France. The 30-year-old topped the UFC Vegas 74 main card in an intruiging matchup against the now 17-1 Amir Albazi.

Albazi’s victory does come with quite the controversy; however, as Albazi was out struck in every single of the flyweights’ five-round fight. Having only secured one judge’s nod (Mike Bell), Kara-France swallows a tough loss and inches back from his hopes of once again fighting for the flyweight championship.

Twitter Reacts: Kara-France Drops Split Decision to Albazi

This tweet comes straight from the source. The expression on Referee Herb Dean‘s face says it all.

UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya had an interesting thought after watching the flyweight main event. Although unlikely to occur, this could potentially result in some interesting conversations in the future.

UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier and MMA’s most recognizable reporter Ariel Helwani both gave their nods to “Two Blinks”

The always exciting Max Holloway just had two words to say about the judges last night.

22-year-old undefeated prospect Muhammad Mokaev had a little more to say than his “Blessed” counterpart, as he poked fun at the judges’ scorecards from the main event.

Holloway would add to his previous comment, noting his displeasure towards some comments from ignorant fight fans.

Verdict MMA allows fight fans to add their two cents to the mix and judge fights as the action goes down. After the 25-minute contest, the majority of fight fans gave the nod to Kara-France.

The #3 ranked welterweight Belal Muhammad joined the conversation in a slightly different tone, catching a lot of backlash from the MMA community.
