After a dazzling performance at ONE Friday Fights 22, Superlek Kiatmoo9 will return to ONE Championship in short order on Friday, July 14, at ONE Fight Night 12 in the main event. The ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion will have a Muay Thai collision with Tagir Khalilov. The new attraction will give both men another chance to shine in U.S. primetime.

ONE Announces Main Event Muay Thai Showdown for ONE Fight Night 12

The new main event replaces the ONE Light Heavyweight Kickboxing World Champion title tilt originally announced for the show. Reigning king Roman Kryklia vs. Francesko Xhaja was initially tapped to lead the card. However, the Albanian was forced to withdraw due to injury, and the bout has been removed from the lineup.

Superlek is looking to continue his outstanding 2023 campaign. The Thai superstar began the year by defending his kickboxing crown against Daniel Puertas and Danial Williams. Both wins for “The Kicking Machine.” After returning to Muay Thai with a first-round KO over Nabil Anane, he will continue to show his world-class striking skills in four-ounce gloves in Bangkok in July.

Khalilov was slated to square off against Elias Mahmoudi in what would have been an absolute slugfest. Instead, he got the call to get his name on the marquee. Mahmoudi will get a new opponent, which will be announced in the coming days.

But it was not the only matchup added to the lineup. Heavyweights Amir Aliakbari and Dustin Joynson will collide in an important mixed martial arts bout as both men chase ONE Heavyweight World Champion Anatoly Malykhin. Joynson is coming off a win over Huga Cunha, and Aliakbari has put together back-to-back knockout performances on the global stage.

ONE Fight Night 12 emanates from Lumpinee Boxing Stadium on Friday, July 14. The action will get underway on Prime Video at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The event is free for all Amazon Prime members in the U.S. and Canada.
