The long-awaited and highly anticipated Muay Thai showdown fans have been asking for will happen on Friday, September 22. ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon will collide with top contender and ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Superlek Kiatmoo9. ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong revealed the bout on Facebook on Sunday.

The title tilt will headline ONE Friday Fights 34 in Lumpinee Boxing Stadium. The Bangkok crowd will be hotter than ever for one of the biggest Muay Thai collisions in the sport’s history. The two were originally scheduled for a meeting in March, but an injury forced Rodtang to withdraw.

Nothing dampened the excitement for the prospects of their eventual collision. Superlek crushed Danial Williams in defense of his kickboxing crown before returning to Muay Thai to defeat Nabil Anane and Tagir Khalilov. All three men were finished by the beautiful striking of “The Kicking Machine”.

Superlek is not the only crossover athlete. In January, Rodtang moved over to show his kickboxing skills and took out Jiduo Yibu by unanimous decision. He followed that by defending his Muay Thai belt in ONE’s U.S. debut in May with a thunderous KO over Edgar Tabares.

With both men performing at the top of their game, it is the perfect time to see them square off for the first time in their illustrious careers. 2023 has been an incredible year for both men, and it will only get better. September 22 is going to be a date for the history-making showdown fans have been clamoring to see. ONE Friday Fights 34 has its marquee bout to set the Muay Thai world ablaze.
