BRAVE Combat Federation, the self-proclaimed only “truly global” MMA promotion in the world, will put its claim to the test on Saturday, May 25 when it travel to Alkmaar, Netherlands for a huge welterweight main event. Former BRAVE CF champion and submission artist Marcin Bandel will look to get back on track against tested French veteran Alex Lohore.
Fight fans can catch BRAVE CF 83 streaming live on the promotion’s YouTube page beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET/11:30 a.m. PT.
Main Event — Bandel vs. Lohore
Bandel, a Polish MMA veteran in his own right, surprised the masses when he captured the BRAVE CF super welterweight championship over “Austrian Wonderboy” Ismael Naurdiev nearly two years ago. Bandel is a finisher — a kill-or-be-killed fighter with numerous submissions in his arsenal that he can catch opponents with quickly. Five of his last six fights have ended in the first round, and he, himself, is 4-2 in those contests.
Lohore has had extended stints in both Cage Warriors and OKTAGON, and brings a more traditional MMA style to the table. He has, however, shown an ability to finish fights himself, and finish them early. He seemingly will have more ways to win then his Polish rival will, but Bandel certainly can’t be counted out just as any fighter with his killer instinct is live in just about any fight. A victory could have the winner knocking on the door of a super welterweight title fight.
Rest of the Card
Other fights of note on Saturday will include Suriname’s Noach Blyden taking on Poland’s Oskar Herczyk in the co-main event. Unbeaten Austrian Ali Isajew will look to build his prospect profile against Chequina Noso Pedro in the featured fight.
Magomed Idrisov, the latest stud to come out of Bahrain’s KHK Fight Team, will look to add to his momentum against veteran Zaka Fatullazade. He dropped a closely contested unanimous decision to Bidzina Gavashelishvili his last time in the BRAVE CF cage.
