The stretch run of Contender Series’ eighth season is in progress. Tonight, the UFC Apex opens up its doors to 10 more MMA prospects trying to impress UFC CEO Dana White in hopes of getting a contract during the seventh week of season eight. As always, the card features five fights from the Apex with action beginning at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT on ESPN+ inside the United States.

Main Event

At the top of the bill tonight is a heavyweight fight between CFFC and LFA alumnus Bailey Schoenfelder (5-0 MMA) and Danylo Voievodkin (6-0 MMA). This is a three-round contest at five minutes per round to close the show.

Co-Main Event

Immediately beforehand, the co-main event sees welterweight action take place when LFA graduate Daniel Frunza (8-2 MMA) verses Vadim Kutsyi (17-1 MMA).

Rest of the Card

Also tonight, you’ll see a light heavyweight contest pitting Cage Warriors alum Francesco Mazzeo (4-0 MMA) against Kevin Christian (8-2 MMA), a featherweight fight matching Kevin Vallejos (13-1 MMA) with Fury FC alumnus Cam Teague (7-0 MMA), and a strawweight fixture between Rose Conceicao (7-0 MMA) and Alexis Thainara (13-1 MMA.)

DWCS Season Eight, Week Seven Results:

Main Event: Danylo Voievodkin def. Bailey Schoenfelder by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 1:13 into Round 1. Voievodkin awarded UFC contract. 

Co-Main Event: Daniel Frunza def. Vadim Kutsyi by TKO (Punches) at 3:30 into Round 2. Frunza awarded UF C contract. 

Kevin Christian def. Francesco Mazzeo by Submission (Triangle Armbar) at 4:17 into Round 2. Christian awarded UFC contract.

Kevin Vallejos def. Cam Teague by KO (Punches) at 2:23 into Round 1. Vallejos awarded UFC contract.

Alexis Thainara def. Rose Conceicao by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27.) Thainara awarded UFC contract.
