It’s finale night of the eighth season of Dana White’s Contender Series. Heading into the last week of the season, 39 UFC contracts have been handed out as a direct result of appearing on the weeknight MMA promotion in 2024.

For the last time until next summer, live coverage begins tonight at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT on ESPN+ and feature five fights.

Main Event

At the top of the bill tonight is a middleweight contest between Nick Klein (5-1 MMA) and Heraldo Souza (9-1-1 MMA). This is a three-round affair at five minutes per round.

Co-Main Event

Immediately beforehand, the co-main event features flyweight action between Fury FC competitor Nick Piccininni (7-0 MMA, 1-0 DWCS), in his second Contender Series appearance, and fellow Fury fighter Luis Gurule (9-0 MMA.)

Rest of the Card

Also on the final card of the season, you’ll see a featherweight bout matching Yadier DelValle (7-0 MMA) against Antonio Monteiro (17-4-1 MMA), a strawweight fixture between Leslie Hernandez (4-1 MMA) and Julieta Martinez (7-0 MMA), and a welterweight contest pitting Mohamed Ado (5-0 MMA) against Jonathan Micallef (6-1 MMA).

Main Event: Nick Klein def. Heraldo Souza by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 0:37 into Round 1.  Klein awarded UFC contract. 

Co-Main Event:  Luis Gurule def. Nick Piccininni by Split Decision (28-29. 29-28, 29-28.) Gurule awarded UFC contract.

Yadier DelValle def. Antonio Monteiro by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26.)  DelValle awarded UFC contract.

Julieta Martinez def. Leslie Hernandez by Split Decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28.)

Jonathan Micallef def. Mohamed Ado by Submission (Triangle Choke) at 3:01 into Round 1. Micallef awarded UFC contract.
