Cage Warriors returns to the Indigo at the 02 in London this Friday night and although the card may have lost a couple of it’s most enticing contests, there are still plenty of intriguing fights for fans to look forward to.

ANDY CLAMP vs JAMES WEBB

The 205lb title is up for grabs in the main event as Andy Clamp looks to make his first defence of the belt he won when he finished Matthew Byfield at Cage Warriors 168 in March.

Standing in his way will be James Webb. The former middleweight champion made the move up to light-heavyweight this year and a decision victory over Adam Bieganski in July has handed him the opportunity to join the likes of Conor McGregor and Dan Hardy on the list of fighters to win titles in two weight classes within the promotion.

Webb has trained alongside Tom Aspinall and his band of heavyweights in the lead up to this fight and it will be interesting to see how he handles the imposing physicality of his opponent on Friday night.

NIK BAGLEY vs JORDY BAKKES

Nik Bagley (5-1) has finished every single one of his professional victories by way of submission and should the 27-year-old GB Top Team representative continue his fine form against Bakkes this weekend, he may well find himself entering the title discussion at 145lbs.

TYE PALMER vs PADDY McCORRY

Paddy McCorry (4-1) makes his return to Cage Warriors after appearing on The Ultimate Fighter earlier this year. The Irishman went 1-1 on the reality show during the summer, securing an impressive guillotine finish over Mark Hulme before losing against Robert Valentin at the semi-final stage of the competition.

Prior to entering the TUF house, McCorry had been making waves in the Cage Warriors middleweight division. After impressing during a short-notice defeat to former champion James Webb on his debut in 2022, the 26-year-old picked up a pair of spectacular finishes over Angus Hewitt and Samir Kadi in 2023 to mark himself out as a fighter of real interest in the division.

WESLLEY MAIA vs ALEXANDER LOOF

Two of the most entertaining fighters on the entire roster go head-to-head this Friday. Win or lose, Weslley Maia (9-6) has been consistently putting on fun fights in the famous yellow gloves over the past four years, while Sweden’s Alexander Loof (7-2) played his part in the promotion’s ‘fight of the year’ in 2023 when both he and Luke Riley went to war at Cage Warriors 160 in Manchester.

JIMMY QUINN vs GIOVANNI FERNANDEZ

MMA Fight Academy prospect Jimmy Quinn (3-1) has been rattling off a succession of jaw-dropping finishes during his short professional career so far. A quickfire KO over Dan Kneil in his debut last year and a flying knee finish over Imad Bouamri in his last outing stand out in particular.

At just 25-years-old the former dancer looks to be an amazing prospect and may find himself in the UFC sooner rather than later.

UNDERCARD

Cameron Stewart (0-0) vs Yusuf Nazokatov (1-1)

Tariq Pell (3-1) vs Danny Blundell (6-2)

Jawany scott (5-1) vs Davide Scarano (5-2)

Tommy Brunning (1-1) vs Richard Kallos (2-2)

Joshua Onwordi (5-5) vs Joe Ambler (1-2)

Thomas Paull (12-6-) vs Orlando Wilson Prins (5-3)

Shirzad Quadrian had been set to challenge Liam Gittins for his bantamweight title. The Iranian had earned his shot at “Nightmare” after winning a cool $50,000 in the promotion’s Prizefighter tournament back in July, but he picked up an injury which has forced that fight to be postponed.

In the featherweight division, Adam Cullen had been set to face Tobias Harila. Cullen, a team-mate of Paddy Pimblett at Next Generation MMA in Liverpool, has been gaining a reputation as one of the most exciting talents on the UK-based promotion’s roster and the prospect of seeing him square off against “Bad Intention” certainly had Cage Warriors’ fans excited but Harila unfortunately has had to withdraw.

Cage Warriors 180 goes down Friday 15th November, live on UFC Fight Pass.
