A huge fight has just been announced in the UFC middleweight division for early 2025. Shara “Bullet” Magomedov has been rewarded for his recent spectacular knockout win over Armen Petrosyan at UFC 308 with an intriguing match up against Michael “Venom” Page (source: Denis Geiko of Red Corner MMA via Shara’s manager, Rizvan Magomedov).

The fight will take place on February 1st in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and sees two of the most exciting strikers on the UFC roster go toe-to-toe inside the Octagon.

Magomedov (15-0), a decorated Muay Thai and lethwei practicioner, is unbeaten since debuting in the UFC a little over a year ago. The Russian has picked up victories over Bruno Silva, Antonio Trocoli, Michal Oleksiejczuk and now Petrosyan, and his dynamic fighting style has proved entertaining every time he has set foot inside the Octagon.

The prospect of seeing him face an elite striker like Page (22-3) will surely be one that gets fans excited. “MVP” fought in Bellator for more than a decade, racking up a series of sensational highlight reel finishes before signing with the UFC earlier this year.

Page beat Kevin Holland in his Octagon debut at UFC 299 in March before losing to Ian Machado Garry at UFC 303 in June. Having quickly established himself inside the welterweight rankings, he now makes the jump to 185lbs to square off against Magomedov.

“Bullet” has certainly grabbed the attention of UFC fans the world over, not least due to his unique appearance. His striking-heavy approach inside the cage helps him stand out from other fighters from the same part of the world, and his scintillating finish over Petrosyan in Abu Dhabi last month is one that will be replayed for years to come.
