CES 55 Official Weigh-In Results

CES 55 weigh-ins took place from the Connecticut Convention Center. Fighters weighed in ahead of the first event held under regulation from the state of Connecticut. CES 55 being the inaugural mixed martial arts event held in the state, weigh-ins for the event were the first under the jurisdiction of state sanctions.

Fight Withdrawals

Unfortunately, not every fighter set for CES 55 made it to the scales. Two high profile bouts dropped from the card. New England prospects, William Knight and Fabio Cherant lost their opponents. According to Tapology, Carlton Little (Opponent of Knight) failed to show at weigh-ins. In the case of Marquis Allen, also reported by Tapology, legal issues came between him and a battle with Cherant. A heavyweight bout between Rakim Cleveland and Parker Porter also fell to the chopping block.

Featured Fights

Although three bouts fell from the card, many interesting matchups are set for the March 29th event. Dan Dubuque makes his second appearance for the promotion. His record with CES sits at 1-0. Overall Dubuque holds a record of 7-2. Most recently, the Connecticut fighter earned a close split decision victory over New England veteran Johnny Campbell. Dubuque is in the midst of a three-fight win streak. In which the contender earned two stoppage victories.

Also set for CES 55, Eric Spicely returns for a second consecutive CES appearance. After earning a TKO victory at CES 54, the UFC veteran returns to face Caio Maghalaes. Spicely isn’t the only UFC veteran competing at CES 55. Former UFC featherweight, Matt Bessette makes a homecoming when he takes on Tim Dooling.
