On the preliminary card of UFC 241, Khama Worthy will be making his UFC debut against his friend and former training partner, Devonte Smith. Like Worthy, Smith fought in the western Pennsylvania regional scene before making his way to the UFC. Following Worthy’s win at 247 Fighting Championships less than three weeks ago, Smith took to his Instagram to congratulate his friend on the big win. In that fight at Brawl in the Burgh, Worthy defeated Adam Ward via KO in the third round to retain his 247 FC lightweight title.
Smith announced the opponent change on his Instagram, where he shared a video and a picture of him and Worthy training together. In the caption, Smith wrote “I did say I would only fight a friend if we making that money money.”
