Jamey-Lyn Horth vs. Jade Masson-Wong Battle for First Ever BFL Women’s World Title

The women will rock the cage at BFL 65, as former BFL amateur women’s champion Jamey-Lyn Horth will take on Jade Masson-Wong for the vacant 125-pound women’s championship.

This will be a first for the British Columbia promotion, as they crown the inaugural BFL women’s world champion.

Jamey-Lyn Horth vs. Jade Masson-Wong fight for gold

Horth (3-0) made her professional debut in 2017 and has not had an easy time finding fights. She fought her first two bouts under the BFL banner, finishing Coralie Dixon and Christina Ricker with strikes. In her third outing, she made her way to Quebec, where she showcased her complete game by tapping out Corinne Laframboise at TKO 48.

Masson-Wong (3-1) will fight for the first time professionally outside of Quebec. All four of her pro bouts have taken place under the TKO banner. Most recently, the 27-year-old had her first blemish on her rap sheet, as she was finished by Mandy Böhm at TKO 48.

Both Horth and Masson-Wong have decorated amateur careers, with similar records in the pro ranks. BFL has put together arguably two of the most well rounded Canadian women fighters outside the UFC or Bellator in a match to prove who is truly the best.

BFL 65 will take place in an undisclosed venue in Vancouver, B.C. on February 8, 2020. Expect the promotion to announce a number of other fights for the card in the coming weeks, including a number of other title fights.
