Submission Underground 19 Results

MMA Sucka will have all your live Submission Underground 19 results this afternoon. The card is jam-packed with talent and household names and will undoubtedly deliver plenty of action. Here’s what we had to say about the main card when it was announced.

The main event will feature absolute champion Mason Foster taking on grappling specialist Satoshi Ishii. Fowler defeated Craig Jones at SUG 17 and then convincingly at SUG 18 to cement himself as the best in the world.

Satoshi Ishii is a tremendous grappler who also competes in MMA. He’s dropped four of his last five bouts in MMA and has chosen to focus on his grappling by heading to Submission Grappling. It could be an interesting clash.

Former UFC champion Rafael Dos Anjos will meet Donald Cerrone in the co-main event. This bout would be huge in MMA and is quite compelling in terms of grappling. Dos Anjos is a world class submission artist. He will likely be favored coming into this match.

That said, Donald Cerrone has a vastly underrated ground game and it will be fun to see what he’s able to accomplish on the mat against Dos Anjos.

Former UFC fighters who have made their way to Bellator meet next as Anthony Johnson will face Ryan Bader. The two fought previously in MMA with Anthony Johnson knocking Bader out just over a minute into the fight in 2016. Seeing them compete again in grappling will be interesting.

Former Bellator champion Brent Primus will take on former SUG champion Craig Jones on the card as well.
