PFL Challenger Series Heavyweight Event Announced

Professional Fighters League continues its Challenger Series on March 25th at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT with heavyweights taking over Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

Ray Sefo, President of Fighter Operations for PFL, said:

The PFL continues to innovate and seek the best talent in the world. I cannot wait for the heavyweight to take to the cage and see if they have what it takes to join the deepest, most talented roster in all of MMA.

Bevon Lewis is an LFA and UFC alumni with a 7 – 3 professional MMA record. He makes his heavyweight debut against Marcelo Nunes, who has a 7 – 1 record and is a BJJ champion. All of his seven victories came before the final bell with five of them coming by way of submission.

Giacomo Lemos is a Brazilian heavyweight with a lot of promise and an unblemished 7 – 0 record with all his fights ending within time distance. Lemos was once signed to the UFC, but never debuted due to a drug test failure. His opponent is Brett Martin, who stacked up 10 – 1 professional MMA record and is an LFA 2019 heavyweight tournament champion. He will enter the PFL decagon with a six-fight winning streak, most recently defeating Marino Eatman in a super heavyweight bout at XFC 44

Israeli Adam Keresh is an undefeated heavyweight with four wins to his name, all of them being finished by strikes with three of the four coming with Bellator. He will clash with LFA veteran Chad Johnson, who also has a 100% finish rate in his 6 – 3 MMA record.

The card will be round up by Daiqwon Buckley taking on former Atlanta Falcons defensive lineman Jon Cunningham. Both of them sport the exact same professional MMA record with only 1 win, where Buckley defeated NBA alumni Royce White at LFA 120, and Cunningham is coming off of a first-round KO debut win at Fury FC 55.
