Combate Global 33 Results

Combate Global is back in full swing and putting on weekly events in “La Jaula”, the promotion’s cage in their studio in Miami, Florida. Now utilizing open scoring, Combate has created its own brand of Hispanic market-focused events that feature fighters from not only North and South America, but Europe as well. Stay tuned right here for live Combate Global 33 results.

Main Event – Young Featherweights Ready to Bang

Two powerhouse MMA institutions will put some of their best up-and-comers forward as Sanford MMA’s undefeated Landry Ward fights Alliance MMA’s Jair Perez in the main event of Combate Global 33. Both guys are veterans of the promotion and on decent win streaks.

Landry is a proud Texan who made the move to South Florida almost two years ago, rubbing shoulders with the best at Sanford MMA. It is his second straight Combate main event, and should he beat Perez, he will be one of the top guys in the whole promotion. Perez, on the other hand, enters his first main event on the strength of a three-fight win streak. “El Lupe” is coming off an air-tight split decision win over Shaheen Santana at Combate Global 21 last October.

Rest of the Card

Michael Reyes (6-5) vs. Rodrigo Garcia (3-1) takes the co-main slot tonight, veterans of ten Combate fights between them. “Malicious” Michael Reyes has one of the best moustache games in the business, and he also holds a significant experience advantage over the younger Garcia.

Also on the card is a late addition in Maritza Sanchez (2-1) against Aitana Alvarez (1-2) at bantamweight, Ivan Tena (3-0) vs. Geraldo Almonte (3-3) at featherweight, and opening the card is a strawweight fight between Andrea Meneses (2-0) and Stephanie Irurzo (0-3-1).
