It wouldn’t be a weekend in combat sports if Dillon Danis didn’t pipe up on social media taking jabs at someone. This time, it was Kevin Holland after his co-main event loss to Khamzat Chimaev. Danis took to Twitter to ask Dana White to cut Holland. He claimed:
“Dana White should cut @trailblaze2top you can’t be a MMA fighter and get treated like a child like that”
Danis has since deleted the tweet.
Holland was originally scheduled to fight Daniel Rodriguez on the main card of UFC 279, however, following various fight week antics, Holland had to change his plan and fight the undefeated killer, Chimaev. Unfortunately for Holland, he was unable to land a single strike (or even throw one) on his way to defeat. The stats behind the fight are truly breathtaking. Holland threw zero strikes, was taken down instantly and despite originally showing impressive defence, he soon crashed at the hands of Borz.
Dillion Danis
We all know that Dillion Danis has been more of an internet troll than a professional fighter in recent times. Yes his BJJ is certainly special but we haven’t seen him in action in years. He’s 2-0 in professional MMA with both of his wins coming in Bellator, however, he’s been shockingly inactive in recent times. He competed once in April 2018 and once again in June 2019 but since then hasn’t been in action.
His only recent combat action has seen him be choked out by a security guard… With that being said, he’s often teased a fight against Youtubers Logan Paul or KSI, however, we’ll see if that ever comes to anything.
