Conor McGregor Takes Aim at Joe Rogan Following Podcast Comments

Famous podcaster Joe Rogan, known for his controversial (and often inaccurate and misleading) comments, has taken aim at Conor McGregor ahead of his likely return to the MMA cage.

Commenting on the 34-year-old’s physique as he gets back into shape, Rogan made a comment that suggested that McGregor may have been taking performance-enhancing drugs, a claim for which he offered no proof and, in doing so, angered many in the fighter’s camp.

When it comes to the MMA, there’s never been a fighter as popular as McGregor, and the potential return of the Dubliner is going to turn many heads. It will almost certainly lead to a massive PPV audience as well as a rush to back the 22-6 fighter with a bet. If you are looking to do so, you should look to locate the best MMA betting site, and you’ll find here a selection of those that can offer you the best payout for your wagers.

McGregor hasn’t fought since he lost, for the second time, to Dustin Poirier in July 2021, during which he sustained a broken tibia, but he is now fighting fit.

Rogan, on his hugely successful podcast, stated of McGregor, rather mischievously;

“He’s taking his shirt off and posing constantly, and he looks like his piss would melt that USADA cup,”

“Like, it would just like burn a hole right through the bottom of that USADA cup,”

Rogan then went on to say;

“The weird thing is that there is a loophole in USADA that allows you to get out of the testing pool,”

“You can get out of the testing pool and just juice up.”

Rogan’s comments are, at best, misinformed and, at worst, just plain fake news, and McGregor, unsurprisingly, responded.

He did so by taking to Twitter, showing images of Rogan at ages 25 and 52 with the caption;

“Joe looks like his piss melts his knickers; in the company that long and never took a fight, hahaha.”

Professional mouthpiece Joe Rogan has since sought to calm the feud by singing McGregor’s praises, recalling his memorable win over Jose Aldo back in 2015, stating;

“To be a person that can do that under that kind of pressure, that’s an extraordinary human being.”

“There’s very, very, very few of them that have ever walked the face of the earth that can do that in front of that many people and in that moment which is built up over months and months and months.”

“Really years of taunting him [Jose Aldo], but months and months and months.”

Whether these words of admiration cool the tone of their conversation is hard to say, but no doubt McGregor will wait and let his fighting do the talking when he does finally get back to MMA action, probably sometime in the spring of 2023.

Before he can return to the cage, McGregor needs to be cleared by the USADA testing pool, and a lot depends on whether he needs to sit out a six-month period or secure an exemption, something that has previously been awarded to certain fighters in the past.
