Rizin Fighting Federation adds multiple fights to inaugural show

On Wednesday Rizin FF continued to fill their inaugural card on New Year’s Eve, with the announcement of new roster fighters they confirmed four new bouts, including the already reported Souwer vs. ‘Jienotsu’ contest, at a press conference today.

Former DREAM featherweight champion Hiroyuki Takaya (20-11-2) will take on Daiki Hata (17-9-7). Takaya is unbeaten in his last four and is coming off a (T)KO win over Pancrase and Shooto veteran Guy Delumeau last month. Hata is unbeaten in his last nine but is coming off a decision loss to Mizuto Hirota on the “Road to UFC: Japan” reality show.

One of the other confirmed bouts sees one of the best flyweight prospects in Japan Yuki Motoya (15-4) take on Korean prospect Nam Jin Jo (10-7). Motoya has won seven-straight including a DEEP flyweight title win over Tatsumitsu Wada, where he avenged an earlier loss. Jo is a former ROAD FC flyweight champion. He lost the title in his last bout when he dropped a decision to Min Jong Song in October.

And finally, multi-time Shoot Boxing champion Rena Kubota (0-0) will welcome Italian newcomer Jleanna Valentino.
