Alistair Overeem Believes He Deserves A UFC Title Shot

Former Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Alistair Overeem chat with MiddleEasy.com about his future and the fact that he is in talks with the UFC. He states with his belts and his records he deserves a UFC title shot.

Thanks to LowKick for the transcription…

“(The UFC and I) are talking. There’s an exclusive negotiation period, so basically I can’t talk about it. But, yea we’re talking… I think with my record and my belts, I could be eligible for a title fight, but maybe it would be better to fight somebody else first. I think that’s a good question, but we’re just going to have to wait and see how things work out. There’s nothing yet, we’re talking and the mood is good.”
