Dejan Kajic vs. Saeid Mirzaei Booked for BFL 72

One of the biggest title fights in Canadian MMA history will go down at BFL 72. The multi-division champion, Dejan Kajic will put his 175-pound super-welterweight title on the line against the notable talent, Saeid Mirzaei.

The promotion announced the fight on their official Instagram page on Thursday afternoon.

There has been bad blood between these two talented fighters for many years.

Kajic (13-7-2) has been undefeated since 2018 and has won a number of titles along the way. At BFL 67, Kajic defeated Kyran Cameron in the very first round of their championship bout. The 37-year-old is on a five-fight winning streak, and all five of those fights have ended with TKO stoppages.

Mirzaei (3-0-1) fought for the first time since 2019 at BFL 71, as he earned a first round rear-naked choke against Bobby Poulter. The 29-year-old’s first professional fight took place in 2018, when he fought to a draw against Eric McConico. He went on to earn stoppages in his next three fights.

BFL 72 will have three championship fights on the line.
