Fury FC 64 is set to take place this afternoon live from the Escapade 2001 in Houston, Texas. Sunday’s show will be headlined by a fight between flyweight risers Paris Moran and Anthony Do.
Fury FC 64 Main Event
Moran (6-1) is looking for a sixth-consecutive victory on home turf, and a win over Do should further establish him as a premier regional prospect at 125 pounds. Moran cut his teeth in the Fury FC cage, going 3-0 as an amateur before turning pro in November 2019. Still not even three years into his MMA career, Moran has managed to stay active with his fifth fight since 2021 coming up on Sunday. He last fought in February at Fury FC 57 when he defeated Joey Elzea by unanimous decision. Moran also owns a unanimous decision victory over Nate Smith, a veteran of Dana White’s Contender Series. Moran has all the tools to compete at the highest level one day, and is already on the UFC‘s radar having turned down a shot on DWCS in an attempt to earn a UFC contract outright. He is long for the weight class at 5-foot-8 and has multiple ways to get the job done, not one to shy away from a war of attrition as he is unbeaten in fights that go the distance. However, a finish on Sunday will go a long way towards impressing the UFC brass.
The Texan’s lone loss came due to a standing rear-naked choke back in 2020, and if Do (8-4) can implement an offensively grappling-heavy game plan, he could stand a good chance at sending Moran home with the second loss of his career. “The Antidote” comes to Fury with a resume that includes stops in ONE Championship and Bellator, and he will present the homegrown flyweight with the toughest test of his career to date. The American Kickboxing Academy product’s most recent fight saw him pick up a triangle choke victory over Hui Liang in ONE Championship, and he is a proven finisher with six of his eight wins coming inside the distance. The path to victory is there for Do, but he’ll need to get inside the rangier Moran’s reach if he wants to come away with the ninth win of his career and potentially earn a contract with a major promotion at 29-years-old.

Fury FC 64 will feature a bantamweight co-main event of Cameron Smotherman vs. John Yannis. “The Baby-Faced Killer” Smotherman, the former FFC amateur bantamweight champion, has spent his entire career in Fury FC, winning the first two fights of his career before dropping two, winning two and losing his most recent fight against Shane Torres back in April. He will look to try and break that career pattern against Yannis, who will be looking for the knockout in his third-career Fury FC appearance. Moving down the card, Sunday will also see 4-0 featherweight prospect Michael Aswell in search of the third stoppage of his career against Frank Meno. Like Smotherman, Aswell is a former amateur champion in the Fury FC cage, with both fighters even having defended their titles on the same night in the past.
A heavyweight tilt between Ricardo Evangelista and Jose Evans is also on tap for Sunday’s main card. The 36-year-old grappling specialist Evangelista is 2-1 in MMA and was featured on the UFC Fight Pass Invitational. He will look to hand Evans the first loss of his career, while Alabama’s Evans will be looking to make his presence felt for the very first time in the promotion. Rounding out the main card are fights between Shakeem Richardson and Cody Walker, Soloman Amadeo and Sam Kilmer, and Montrel James and Derrick Ageday. Richardson and Walker have more than 12 defeats between them, but are both coming off wins as they look to change the course of their careers. Amadeo, meanwhile, will be putting himself right back into the thick of things having fought last month at Fury FC 61. A victory over the 3-0 Kilmer, a veteran of Combate Global, will go a long way toward setting his own career back on the right track. The prelims will feature five fights, with a Fury FC welterweight championship fight between unbeaten amateurs Geno Morelli and Oscar Martinez among them.
