Alivia Bierley is all set to chase the UFC contract this week after her DWCS bout. Here's why fans should be on the lookout for her showdown.

Week 9 of DWCS is scheduled for Oct. 6 in Enterprise, NV. With five confirmed bouts and 38 fighters already signed, Season 10 of the Contender Series is well on its way to producing the most UFC roster contracts. While competition for the UFC brass intensifies, there's one specific bout fans cannot miss.

Alivia Bierley Promises a Hard-Hitting Showdown

Alivia Bierley will go head-to-head against British Summer Onley on Tuesday in a bantamweight clash, aiming to end episode 9 on a high note. With both ladies instinctively hunting for the finish, the bout is primed for thrilling, fierce action. And Alivia Bierley is betting on her fists to dictate the rhythm.

"If you haven't watched me fight, shame on you, but you should definitely tune in, because I definitely pack a punch," Bierley urged, speaking with DWCS.

However, 'Yum Yum' is not just sharp with her tongue. Her resume backs up that confidence, with a 5-1 pro record. Since a closely contested split decision loss, the bantamweight has only produced positive results, with 3 KO/TKO wins, notably by punches (via Tapology). Clearly, her striking claims are not made on a whim.

Despite selling herself as a striker, Bierley is not just limited to punches, having four submissions on her resume. The American fighter definitely brings a well-rounded arsenal on Tuesday.

On the flip side, Summer Onley is no underdog either, currently boasting a perfect 6-0 record. The Ronin MMA fighter enters as the Full Contact Contender bantamweight champion, with 5 finishes building that momentum. Desperate to keep her resume pristine and earn a UFC deal, Onley is all set for a cutthroat competition.

Fighting under the Fury FC banner, Texas's Bierley will definitely attempt to punctuate that clean streak with her strongest suit: strikes. Yet, punches are only part of what makes Bierley's DWCS story worth following.

From LA Fitness to DWCS: Alivia Bierley's Wild Career Gamble

Alivia Bierley has been a lifelong athlete, and before she was competing and dominating stages full-time, she had a career elsewhere. Quitting her job as a VP of LA Fitness, the 30-year-old boldly committed to what excited her the most. Yum Yum had no regrets.

Only two weeks after pursuing fighting full-time, Bierley won her first championship. She then went on to have a decorated amateur career, staying undefeated while producing four finishes out of six fights.

Having been a college basketball player and a gymnast, Bierley has both the strength and the athleticism to back up her martial arts career. Described as one of the physically strongest competitors in the bantamweight division, Alivia Bierley finally has an opportunity to prove she belongs in the sport's biggest stages.
