Arman Tsarukyan Lays Out a Comeback Path for Ilia Topuria

Arman Tsarukyan had a longstanding feud. Despite the duo never crossing paths inside the octagon, there was significant hype about Tsarukyan and Ilia Topuriaâs fight. Now, as âEl Matadorâ is recovering from his injuries, the Armenian star has laid out a possible comeback path for the Spaniard.
Arman Tsarukyan Wants Ilia Topuria to Face Easy Opponent
Tsarukyan is currently waiting for his chance to get back to the top of proceedings in the UFC. Following a long layoff, the Armenian is all set to face Mauricio Ruffy in the upcoming UFC 331. But before that, âAhalkalaketsâ had some words of advice for his fellow lightweight.
Tsarukyan said, âIlia Topuria is still in the recovery process and will probably have Michael Chandler as his next opponent⌠So who else could it be? After that loss (against Gaethje), he needs someone easy..."
Following Tsarukyanâs comments, there has been no reciprocation from either Michael Chandler or Ilia Topuria. And as for Topuria, the former champion is still recovering from the brutal beatdown.
When Will Ilia Topuria Return?
The former two-division champion had one of the toughest fights of his life against Justin Gaethje. Facing off for the championship, Topuria got thoroughly dominated in the bout. In fact, his injury was so severe that âEl Matadorâ was not allowed to complete his full five rounds.
Currently, there is no confirmed news about when he will fight again. At the moment, Topuria is recovering and has also reportedly started his training. Surely, the bout against Gaethje was a brutal blow to his mental strength too. Being a two-division champion, the Spaniard was undefeated till he faced Gaethje. But despite landing some hard punches on his opponent, âEl Matadorâ just could not find the perfect rhythm to get over a raging Justin Gaethje.
