Arman Tsarukyan feels that Usman Nurmagomedov is good enough to dominate the entire UFC lightweight division.

Usman Nurmagomedov is currently without a contract. That sets him up perfectly for a possible switch in his career. The most popular consensus going around is whether the Dagestani champion would join the UFC. While the fighter remains undecided, the likes of Arman Tsarukyan have predicted a bright future.

Arman Tsarukyan believes Usman Nurmagomedov can Defeat Lightweight Division

If Nurmagomedov joins Dana White’s promotion, he will be a part of the lightweight division, and that might not be a great thing for the existing UFC lightweight fighters. Speaking with Ariel Helwani, Tsarukyan pointed out how Nurmagomedov will pose a threat to everyone in the division. The Armenian-Russian fighter even believes that the Dagestani can down the reigning champion, Justin Gaethje.

Tsarukyan said, “He can beat a lot of guys in our division because, stylistically, he's so good... I think he beats Gaethje. I think he beats almost everyone in the division.”

Shedding light on who can pose a problem, the 29-year-old named Quillan Salkilld. He also thought Charles Oliveira, who can pull off some submissions, might be a fitting matchup for the undefeated PFL fighter.

Meanwhile, despite all the hype, Islam Makhachev does not want his fellow Dagestani brother to jump straight into a title fight.

Islam Makhachev Wants Usman Nurmagomedov to Wait

Nurmagomedov may have remained undefeated in his MMA career so far. However, despite his impressive 22-0 record, Makhachev feels that an immediate title shot would not be the ideal move. Instead, if Nurmagomedov does join the UFC, he must fight a non-title bout first and then move into championship territory.

The UFC welterweight champion said, “He has to feel this atmosphere. He has to fight one time... because this is like one of the big divisions in UFC, you know, and come from another division and fight for the title, I think... he has to come, feel this atmosphere, feel this all, media, everything, and fight for the title next."

Thus, it is evident that a lot of speculation is going on. Now, it remains to be seen what pans out next.
