Charles Oliveira’s Translator Interrupts Interviewer During Israel-Palestine Question

Charles Oliveira’s translator interrupts an Israel-Palestine question during an interview, saying the UFC star should not discuss politics.
Charles Oliveira recently found himself at the center of attention during a recent interview when asked about the conflict between Israel and Palestine. Before the former UFC Lightweight Champion could respond to the interlocutor, his translator stepped in, pointing out that the topic was completely off limits and not up for discussion.
The short exchange quickly ended the political line of questioning, leaving Oliveira without a fair opportunity to share his thoughts on the matter.
Oliveira's Translator Stops Political Question
During a recent Zadero Training interview, an interviewer attempted to ask Oliveira about his honest opinion regarding the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict. However, his translator quickly interrupted before the question could be translated to the Brazilian fighter.
"He's a fighter. Don't involve him in politics.. political stuff," his translator interjected.
"He's a fighter, he's not a policitian," he added, when questioned by the interviewer about the interruption.
Ultimately, the question remained unanswered by Oliveira. Zadero Training subsequently shared footage of this exchange on Instagram, captioning the video, "Charles Oliveira, my question was interrupted."
While this incident does not give any clarity on Oliveira's position on the conflict, it demonstrated the translator's choice to not pass on the question to 'Do Bronx' during this particular interview, especially when he had plenty of other things to discuss, like his lightweight title picture.
Charles Oliveira Focuses on UFC Title Picture
The much-awaited moment is finally arriving as Oliveira comes close to pursuing yet another UFC lightweight title opportunity. The Brazilian fighter remains one of the most experienced fighters in the division and previously held the undisputed title after defeating Michael Chandler at UFC 262.
He eventually lost the belt to Islam Makhachev at UFC 280 but has continued to compete at the top of the division. He also defeated Justin Gaethje at UFC 274 in 2022, submitting Gaethje in the first round.
Since Gaethje now holds the lightweight belt, Oliveira has expressed interest in another opporunity against him, while holding a strong belief that he is next in lline for the title shot. For now, Oliviera's position regarding the Israel-Palestine conflict remain unclear, but his ambitions inside the Octagon are far more straightforward.
