It wasn't smooth sailing for all of the fighters booked to appear on DWCS 92, at least in the early going of the weigh-in window on Monday morning. Two fighters needed to return to the scales later on in the morning for a second chance to make weight.
Two Contestants Make Weight at Second Time of Asking Ahead of DWCS 92
Mayton Perea (171 lbs) initially exceeded the nontitle maximum for welterweights prior to his Tuesday night appearance in the DWCS 92 main event before hitting his target. His opponent, Zevan Hunt (170 lbs,) made championship weight for the contest without issue. This main event, as well as all fights on the show, will be an advertised maximum of three rounds at five minutes per round.
In addition, Tyshawn Williams (146 lbs) needed a second opportunity of his own to make weight for his bout against Antonio Monteiro (145 1/2 lbs) before hitting his target. The initial misses were the only blemishes on the scale for the day.
DWCS 92 Co-Main Event Fighters Come in Under Target
Both contestants vying for a contract during the DWCS 92 co-main event made weight without needing to come back for a second attempt. Igor Cavalcanti (184 1/2 lbs) and Oscar Ravello (184 1/2 lbs) weighed in half of a pound under the middleweight championship maximum for their bout.
