From UFC Security to DWCS: Salahuddin Everett Set for MMA Debut

Salahuddin Everett returns to the Octagon, this time as a fighter, in DWCS 95 Tuesday.
Salahuddin Everett may have tasted the inside of the UFC's Octagon before, but never as a fighter. That is set to change on Tuesday night when the promotion's own "Facility Runner" will make his Dana White's Contender Series debut against Ozzy Martin in a welterweight clash.
From UFC Security to Dana White's Contender Series
Everett's journey into DWCS is unlike any other prospect competing for a UFC contract. He originally started by joining the promotion as a member of its security team before subsequently becoming UFC President Dana White's assistant, which earned him the self-appointed "Facility Runner" nickname.
Now, the 4-0 professional fighter has a chance to secure a UFC contract. Everett is looking to enter DWCS 95 with an undefeated record and has registered eight consecutive wins in his amateur and professional MMA career.
The 28-year-old fighter has had an incredible professional journey, with all of his four wins coming in the opening rounds. Most recently, he defeated Armus Guyton via rear-naked choke in July.
Everett Faces Another Unbeaten Prospect
Ozzy Martin, another undefeated welterweight, will be standing across from Everett. Martin has a 4-0 professional record, along with winning six straight professional bouts when his boxing and kickboxing contests are included. His most recent MMA victory was a 30-second stoppage over Ryan Jett.
This makes Tuesday's matchup more than just another usual UFC stop for Everett. Two unbeaten prospects with dangerous finishing abilities are set to collide with a potential UFC contract on the line.
However, for Everett, this opportunity comes with an extra layer. Having already worked behind the scenes for the UFC, the "Facility Runner" will finally get his chance to make his own name inside the cage.
