Ian Garry will be entering probably the most important fight of his life this Saturday. With some exceptional performances in the UFC, the Irish fighter has earned his shot to go up against Islam Makhachev. However, ahead of his bout, Garry received a message from his fellow Irishman, Conor McGregor, and that has left him quite ecstatic.
Ian Garry Wants Conor McGregor’s Prediction to Come True
McGregor might not have had the dream UFC comeback he was aiming for. He's sure keeping a close tab on Garry. As the big day for the 28-year-old approaches, ‘Mystic Mac’ predicted that Garry would become the champion and finish the fight off with a head kick knockout.
Reacting to the same, the 17-1 fighter told the press, “Duke, that would be a phenomenal finish. I already know that this fight on Saturday night is going to be the toughest fight of my life.”
He further added, “I have the toughest challenger of my career ahead of me and I have nothing but respect. The job for me is get my hand raised. That's my job by any means necessary. If I could finish him, that's a cherry on top.”
Surely, knocking out Makhachev is a huge prediction. Especially when the Dagestani has a 16-fight winning streak behind him.
